Mosaic was recognized for its role in the leveraged Employee Stock Ownership Plan (“ESOP”) buyout of Hollandia, which closed in January 2016. Based in Carpinteria, CA, Hollandia is the leading greenhouse grower of hydroponic lettuce in the Western United States.
Hollandia and Mosaic were nominated along with the Company’s financial advisor, SDR Ventures, and The SEAM Fund who co-led the structuring and funding of the leveraged ESOP. The transaction was nominated in two categories: Consumer Staples Deal of the Year (Under $500MM) and M&A Deal of the Year (Over $50MM – $75MM).
The M&A Advisor Awards are the industry’s premier event of the year, bringin M&A movers and shakers together to recognize and honor the leading firms, deals, and professionals.
