Steve Buchanan is a Founder and Managing Partner at Mosaic Capital Investors I, LP, Mosaic Capital Investors II, L.P. and Mosaic Capital Investors II SBIC, L.P.

Steve currently sits on the Board of Directors of Best Friends Pet Hotel, Linxx Global Solutions, Sayers Technology and Zero Waste Recycling.  Previously he was Board Observer for Advanced Diagnostic Imaging and PLI Cards.

Prior to founding Mosaic Capital, Steve was a Founding Partner at Dogwood Equity. Steve is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he received his degree in finance.

Keith Butcher

Founder, Partner

Keith Butcher is a Founder and Partner at Mosaic Capital.

Keith currently sits on the Board of Directors of Custom Profile, Sayers Technology and Boston Retail Solutions. Previously he served on the Board of Galfab Holdings.

Alongside his time with Mosaic, Keith is Managing Director with ButcherJoseph & Company, an ESOP-focused investment bank. Prior to founding Mosaic Capital, Keith was an Executive President of Purcell Tire & Rubber Co., an ESOP-owned company and Executive Director with Morgan Stanley.  Keith is a graduate of Bradley University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in international business and finance, and he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Bill Hayes

Bill Hayes is a Founder and Partner at Mosaic Capital Investors I, LP, Mosaic Capital Investors II, L.P. and Mosaic Capital Investors II SBIC, L.P.

Bill currently sits on the Board of Directors of Express Medical Transporters, Linxx Global Solutions, Custom Profile and NuSource Financial. Previously he served on the Board of ETAK Systems.

Prior to founding Mosaic Capital, Bill was Head of Corporate Credit for Deerfield Capital Management and Managing Director with Babson Capital Management. Bill is a graduate of The Citadel where he was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army.

Ian Mohler

Partner

Ian Mohler joined Mosaic Capital in 2013.  He is a Partner in Mosaic Capital Investors II, L.P. and Mosaic Capital Investors II SBIC, L.P.

Ian currently sits on the Board of Directors of Best Friends Pet Hotel, NuSource and Zero Waste Recycling. Previously he served on the Boards of ETAK Systems, Galfab and Hollandia Produce.

Prior to Mosaic, Ian was CFO of Immaculate Baking Company and a Vice President at Dogwood Equity. Ian is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Accountancy.

Joe Strycharz

Joe Strycharz is a Founder and Partner at Mosaic Capital Investors I, LP, Mosaic Capital Investors II, L.P. and Mosaic Capital Investors II SBIC, L.P.

Joe currently sits on the Board of Directors of Boston Retail Solutions, Linxx Global Solutions and Gautier Steel.

Alongside his time with Mosaic, Joe is Managing Director with ButcherJoseph & Company, an ESOP-focused investment bank in St. Louis, MO. Prior to founding Mosaic Capital, Joe was an Executive Vice President of Purcell Tire & Rubber Co., an ESOP-owned company and Executive Director with Morgan Stanley. Joe is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a member of the 1986 national championship football team.

Dabney Smith

Founder, Special Advisor

Dabney Smith is a Founder and Partner at Mosaic Capital Investors I, LP. Dabney also serves as a Special Advisor at Mosaic Capital Investors II, L.P. and Mosaic Capital Investors II SBIC, L.P.

Dabney previously sat on the Board of Directors of Boston Retail Solutions, Custom Profile, and Express Medical Transporters and was a Board Observer for Gautier Steel.

Prior to founding Mosaic Capital, Dabney was a Founding Partner at Dogwood Equity and CEO of Banc of America SBIC Corporation. Dabney is a graduate of Duke University where he received a degree in economics and of Auburn University where he earned an MBA.

Brett Findlay

Vice President

Brett Findlay is a Vice President and joined Mosaic Capital in 2015.

Brett sits on the Board of Directors for Gautier Steel and is a Board Observer for Best Friends Pet Hotel, Zero Waste Recycling, Custom Profile, and Boston Retail Solutions. He was previously a Board Observer for Galfab Holdings.

Prior to Mosaic, Brett was an Analyst with TIAA. Brett is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Economics with Honors

Danielle Davis

Associate

Danielle Davis is an Associate and joined Mosaic Capital in 2024.

Prior to Mosaic, Danielle was an Analyst with Regions Bank specializing in Leveraged Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Smith College.
